Is Telemedicine Safe?

Absolutely! AFC TeleCare appointments are secure and protected. You access the video chat with your provider using a private link that is provided once you have scheduled your telemedicine appointment.

Most non-emergency medical conditions can be treated via telemedicine, but it is important that emergency symptoms, such as shortness of breath and chest pain, cannot.

You will also be called my a member of our team prior to speaking with a physician in order to discuss your medical history and gather additional information, if needed—much like how it goes when you visit our urgent care center in person.
